The Bunbury Isaac family descend from the marriage of Thomas Bunbury of Kill, second son of William Bunbury of Lisnavagh, and Susanna Priscilla Isaac, daughter of the late barrister Simon Isaac. The marriage, which took place at St Bridget's in Dublin on 19th July (or 18 April?) 1758

The Bunbury family have been connected to Ireland at least since Elizabethan times when Thomas Bunbury was appointed one of the executors of the Lismore estate in 1585.
